Hey Gerd — thanks so much for getting back to me! I actually just got off the phone with my brother at the office, and he said he’s got a client meeting at 4:30 PM, so I’ll probably be tied up until then. I’ve been trying to balance my work with the new oil litigation case I’m handling in the Permian — it’s been a real rollercoaster lately. Last week, I had to explain to a rancher why his wellhead lease was void due to a non-compliance issue, and he just stared at me like I’d betrayed the land. Honestly, I don’t know how we do it in this heat. Anyway, I’d love to connect with you late today — say around 5:30? That’d give me a bit of breathing room. Would that work for you? I’ve been meaning to pick up a new case file from the Houston office, and I’ve been thinking about how much I’d love to chat about what you’re doing. Also — just to confirm — are you the one who’s handling the Texas-based energy trust fund structure? I’ve seen a few references to that in the filings. And do you have a preferred method for documenting the call? I always try to keep things organized, especially when it comes to due diligence. Looking forward to hearing from you.
