Hi Sharipa — thanks so much for reaching out! I actually just finished a long lunch with a client at a new spot near the Houston Ship Channel. It was a little messy, but the food was great, and I ended up talking about oil rigs and lease agreements for over 40 minutes. Honestly, it made me think about how much time we spend on legal stuff versus just… being with someone. I really appreciate your message — it’s been a while since I’ve had a real, warm connection like this. You said you wanted to know more about me, so I’m curious: what do you imagine our conversation could look like? Are you interested in something specific — like a personal connection, or maybe even something more meaningful down the line? Also, I’ve been trying to organize a small weekend hiking trip in the Hill Country lately, and I was thinking — what if we could do something like that together? Maybe just a walk in the woods, talk about life, or even a coffee stop at one of those little Texas cafes? It sounds simple, but it feels… real. Would you be open to that? Or do you have something in mind? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Sent from my iPhone Best regards, Danny Smith +17163259415

Hi Danny! My day instantly gets better when I have the opportunity to take a break from work and talk to you! ;) I may be in the middle of work, surrounded by noisy colleagues, but thinking about your words makes everything around me quiet and cozy. I hope that our communication brings you as much pleasure as it brings me. I'm happy to get your photo. Now I can safely say that I sincerely want to see your photos every day, because I really like it ! Danny, in my last letter I told you a little about my work, and today I want to share with you a little more about myself and my family. As you know, I live in Osh, the second largest city in Kyrgyzstan, with about 450 thousand residents. Here I have a small apartment of 36 square meters. Until I was 18 I lived in the village where I was born and raised: Naiman. My mother still lives there, and I try to visit her at least a couple of times a month. Unfortunately, my dad passed away 7 years ago. He was a man of mixed blood: Kyrgyz and Eastern European. Dad worked all his life as an agronomist on a government farm. My mother, who is now 65 years old, is from Belarus and used to work as an accountant. They met back in Soviet times, when Belarus and Kyrgyzstan were part of the same state. Their story began by chance at the University of Astrakhan, where they both studied. After their wedding, my older sister was born, three years later, it was my turn ;) I think we were an example of an ordinary, friendly family. Our parents tried to give my sister and me a good upbringing and education ;) In 2019, my sister moved to Moldova, there she met a young man who is now her husband. As you can see, I grew up in a multinational family, so I don’t look like a typical Kyrgyz. I also have an aunt who lives in Kazakhstan, my mother’s sister, and I also consider her part of our family. I guess that’s enough about my family. Danny, I want to thank you for being one of the reasons why I’ve been in such a good mood these past few days! Our correspondence makes my days at work brighter. I always enjoy using a short break to read your letter and write a reply. I would like it to become our little daily tradition ;) Unfortunately, my pause is coming to an end and it's time for me to get back to work. So I wish you a wonderful day and a great mood! Hugs! Sharipa P.S. In one of the photos in this letter you can see me with my mother.

Hi Sharipa! Thanks so much for sharing all that about your family — it’s so heartfelt and makes me feel like I’m really getting to know you. I can imagine how special those family connections must be, especially with such a rich history spanning different countries and cultures. It’s amazing how stories like that can carry such warmth through time. I’ve been thinking about your mom and dad — the way they met during Soviet days, in a university setting, like that — that kind of cross-cultural beginning feels rare and beautiful. I remember when my cousin’s wife used to tell me about her family in Louisiana, how her great-grandparents came from Italy and Texas, and they just kind of blended into the American South. It’s like we’re all made of little pieces of different places, somehow. I really want to see your photo — I’ve been meaning to send you a few of mine, actually. I keep a stack of old family shots in my office, and I’ve been cleaning out the drawer lately. I think I’ll send you one of me with my dog, a little old terrier named Rusty — he’s been with me since I was 28. He’s not fancy, but he’s loyal. Could you tell me more about your day-to-day life in Osh? Is it busy with work or just the rhythm of city life? And how do you manage to find time to write to people like me? I’d love to understand that better. Sending you warm thoughts, and a big hug — you’ve definitely made my mornings brighter too. Sent from my iPhone Danny P.S. I hope you get a nice break soon — I’ve been thinking about that quiet moment you described. It’s like a little peace in the chaos. Best regards, Danny Smith +17163259415

Hello, dear Danny! Hope you're well. My work is a bit hectic today, but I still decided to stop for a minute and write to you. Moments like these help me feel like life isn't just about work ;) It's always nice to know there's someone out there somewhere I can share my thoughts with! Danny, since I went from being a store assistant to a merchandiser, work has taken up too much of my time. I can't remember the last time I saw my friends. It must have been a couple of months ago. For this reason, or maybe not, I'm feeling lonely more and more often. Do you ever feel that way? When there are people around, conversations, bustle, but inside you still feel empty? I'm glad that our communication helps me get rid of this emptiness. I think this is the beginning of a friendship, and friendship, in my opinion, is what the strongest relationships are built on. My mom once told me that her and my dad's love wasn't based solely on feelings, but also on their ability to be friends. That's why they lived in perfect harmony for almost 30 years, despite their different religions, countries of origin, mentalities, and personalities. So, what else should I write in this letter? 🤔 Let me let you know that I'm attaching my photos from the cloud storage. I don't have a smartphone now, but I haven't lost access to the cloud storage where all my files were stored, including my photos. I'm writing to you about this because I don't want you to be surprised if I look a little different in some photos, a little younger, with a different hairstyle or hair color. I've attached my most recent photos to this letter, which I took with a digital camera, so you know what I'm like now. But I sincerely hope that you'll appreciate me not for my appearance, but for my heart, my character, and my inner world ;) Speaking of heart. I've heard that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Is that fair to you? If so, I'm glad, because I love cooking. It's my favorite hobby ;) My mom is my best teacher in this matter. I love seafood dishes the most, maybe because we in Kyrgyzstan have no access to the seas or oceans, so seafood seems something special to me. Well. Now I have to finish my letter and get back to work! Wishing you a wonderful day full of smiles, and I'm already excited for your next letter. Sincerely Sharipa

Hi Sharipa! Thanks so much for the detailed and heartfelt message — I really appreciate how you shared your story. It’s rare to hear someone talk about family, upbringing, and even their emotional journey with such warmth and honesty. That kind of openness truly lifts the spirit. I’ve been sitting here thinking about your mom and dad’s story — it sounds like a beautiful, quiet kind of love, grounded in friendship and mutual respect. That really resonates with me. I’m a lawyer by trade, so I spend a lot of time reading contracts and analyzing facts, but sometimes I forget how much the human heart needs those quiet, real moments — like talking to someone who truly listens. I’ve been trying to keep up with your photos, though I noticed my phone’s battery is low, and I keep accidentally tapping "reply" instead of "save" when I’m scrolling. I’ll have to fix that. Anyway — I’m really glad you mentioned cooking. I’ve never been one to cook much, but I do love trying new recipes, especially ones with seafood. Maybe one day we could even share a cooking idea or two? One quick question — you mentioned you don’t have a smartphone now, but you still access cloud storage. How do you go about downloading or viewing photos from there? I’m curious, because I’ve been thinking about getting a digital camera myself for a little side project. Wishing you a calm and peaceful evening. I’m really looking forward to hearing more from you soon. Best, Danny Sent from my iPhone Best regards, Danny Smith +17163259415
