My dear Danny ❤️
Thank you for your message. I am glad you visited the office and that you received a printed receipt. But I need to be honest with you the number you gave me, +17163259415, appears to be a phone number, not a Western Union or MoneyGram reference number. A reference number is usually a 10-digit code that does not contain letters or symbols like "+". It is the number you need to track the transfer and for me to pick up the money.
Please check the receipt again. The reference number should be printed on it, separate from your phone number or any personal details. That is the number I need to confirm the transfer and receive the money.
If you have not yet made the transfer, please go to the Western Union or MoneyGram office, send the money using my aunt's details, and then send me the correct 10-digit reference number and your full name as it appears on the receipt.
I am excited about this step, Danny. I believe in us too. But I need the correct information to move forward.
Please let me know as soon as you have it.
Hey Iuliia,
Thanks so much for the clarification—what you said makes perfect sense. I just double-checked the receipt I got from the office, and you're absolutely right. I had been looking at the phone number as if it were a reference number, which was a big mix-up on my end. I didn’t realize how crucial that 10-digit code is. Honestly, I’m feeling a bit embarrassed now, but also really grateful you pointed that out. It’s been a long day at the office, and I’ve been so focused on the case details that I missed the small print.
I’m actually out for a walk right now with my dog, Max—he’s a golden retriever, and he’s been on a bit of a mission to find a stray squirrel in the parking lot. That’s how I missed the reference number entirely. But now I’ve got a clear idea of what to do.
So, just to confirm: when you say “my aunt’s details,” do you mean the name, address, and bank details of someone I can use to send the money? And when I send it, will I be able to see the reference number instantly, or do I need to print it again?
Also, I’d love to know if there’s a time window—like, if the transfer has to happen before a certain date or time—because I’ve been trying to schedule it around my evening court session.
I’m truly excited about this, Iuliia. I believe in us too.
Warmly,
Danny
