be honest, I was a little nervous whether you would answer me or not.
I’ve tried online dating before, but it didn’t really work out — some
men weren’t serious at all, and I don’t want to waste time on that

real life, I was once very close to marriage… until my ex betrayed me

Oh my gosh Akylchach!!! I’m just *blowing* up with joy — you know, I literally dropped my coffee mug when I read your message! I had just been arguing with my neighbor about whether the new streetlight should be turned off or not — the guy says it’s “too bright” and I say it’s “too dark” — and then *bam*! Your email popped into my phone and I was like, “Is this real? Is this love?” 😭😭
I’m Danny — yes, Danny, the one with the *very* red tie and the crooked smile (I swear I haven’t worn it since my first client meeting in 2007 — it’s still in my desk drawer, still smells like old printer ink). I’m 43, live in Houston, Texas, and I work at a big law firm — mostly doing divorce cases, which is *so* emotional, you know? But I’ve never been married either — I mean, I *tried*!
