Thanks so much for reaching out — I actually just checked my inbox this morning and saw your message. It was a real surprise, and I had to smile because I didn’t expect to get a reply from someone in Russia. I’ve been meaning to finally reply to your email, especially after getting a few others from different people who seemed to be on similar paths.
I’ve been working on a few new cases lately — oil and gas litigation in the Gulf of Mexico — and honestly, it’s been a lot of long days. The weather here in Houston has been stubbornly warm, and I’ve been trying to get some fresh air by walking near the Houston Ship Channel. I found a new coffee shop on the corner that serves excellent oat milk lattes. I don’t know if you’ve tried that, but it’s become a small ritual for me lately.
I’m really interested in what you’ve shared — especially about being alone and looking to reconnect. I’m a 43-year-old lawyer from Houston, and while I work a lot, I’ve actually been thinking a lot about balance lately. I don’t have a partner or family, but I do enjoy meaningful conversations, especially ones that feel real.
Could you tell me more about your work with the door company? And what kind of design projects are you currently working on? Also, if you're open to it, would you be comfortable sharing a bit about what your daily routine looks like? I’d love to hear that.
