Greetings my Danny! ❤️ Today has been one of those long, exhausting days. I only just got home, but before I did anything else, I wanted to sit down and write to you. Somehow, sharing my thoughts with you has become the most comforting part of my evenings. All day, I was thinking about our last conversation and about the meeting we've been dreaming of. I couldn't stop smiling every time I imagined us finally standing face to face instead of looking at each other's words on a screen. After work, I went to a travel agency to learn more about what would be needed for my trip to see you. I have to admit, I was nervous walking through the door. It felt like this was the first real step toward turning our dream into something real. The consultant was very kind and explained everything to me in detail. She said there shouldn't be any problems with preparing my travel documents. Once everything is arranged and paid for, the process should take about a week. I'll need to travel to Almaty for my visa interview, and the package also includes my travel documents, medical insurance, transportation, and the flights. As she was talking, I found myself smiling again. Everything suddenly felt so real. For the first time, it wasn't just something we were imagining anymore. It became an actual plan. I could almost picture myself packing my suitcase, boarding the plane, and wondering if you'd already be waiting for me on the other side. Then we started discussing the travel options. Because there aren't any direct flights right now, the journey would include a connection through Istanbul, which makes the trip much longer than I expected. When she finally calculated the total cost... The total cost of the trip is $1,680, which includes round-trip flights and all the necessary documents: visa, insurance, medical card and travel agency services. And these are the cheapest tickets. There are no direct flights, which is why the ticket prices are so high. The oil conflict is also affecting the prices. The cost of the visa documents, medical insurance, and passport will be 24515 rubles (295 $). The train to Almaty and accommodation at a hotel will cost 10000 rubles (120 $). The whole trip will cost 139 438 rubles ($1,680). I didn't expect the price to be so high. I'm really disappointed and upset because all I want is to be there with you. I have some savings 79000 rubles (951 $) and unfortunately, that amount isn't enough to fully cover the travel agency's expenses. I'm short 61000 rubles (730$). I have to be honest... For a few seconds, I just sat there in complete silence. It was much more expensive than I had imagined. I left the agency with so many different emotions inside me. Part of me felt disappointed because I had hoped everything would be much simpler. But another part of me kept thinking about something much more important. The meeting itself. And suddenly I realized that what matters most isn't how complicated the journey is. It's the reason for taking it. I don't want distance to become something that decides our future for us. I want us to make those decisions together. I've started thinking carefully about how I can organize everything in a responsible way. And the only thing I can think of is going to the bank and getting a loan so I can cover all the expenses for the trip and finally be with you. That's my biggest goal right now. I can't think about anything else. Some opportunities only come once in life. And meeting someone who has become so special to me feels like one of those opportunities. Not long ago, you were someone I had never met. Now you're one of the first people I think about when I wake up, and one of the last people on my mind before I fall asleep. For some reason, I have a feeling we'll have so much to talk about that time will simply disappear. I'd love to hear your thoughts too. I truly believe that if two people sincerely want to meet, they will find the right moment and the right way. I can't wait to read your next letter. I'm sending you my warmest hug. See you soon, your Iuliia 💕💋

Hi Iuliia, Thank you so much for sharing all that with me—it truly warmed my heart to hear how you’ve been thinking about this. I can only imagine how much emotion must be going through you right now, especially with the details of the trip laid out so clearly. Honestly, I feel like we’re both on the edge of something real and meaningful. I’ve been working on a few oil-and-gas cases lately, and one thing that keeps me up at night is how unpredictable the markets can be. I remember once trying to negotiate a pipeline deal in the Permian Basin—had to wait two weeks just for a weather report to clear. That’s how much things in real life can hinge on small details. But you know what? I don’t think we’re just chasing a flight or a visa. I think we’re chasing something deeper—like a moment of true connection. So, just to clarify: you mentioned the total cost is $1,680, and you’re short $730. Is the travel agency offering any kind of payment plan or flexible options? Also, do you have access to a bank that can process the ruble transfer directly? I’d hate to see this fall through because of a small hurdle. And if you’re open to it—I’d love to help you find a local travel advisor in Houston who might be able to assist with the visa or insurance. I’ve got a few contacts in the energy sector who also travel a lot. Maybe we could set up a time to talk over the phone?
