Danny,
Today, I think I am the happiest woman in the world.
I feel that the only day I could possibly be happier would be the day when
I finally meet you and can see you not from a distance, but standing right in front of me.
This morning, I received letters from the bank informing me that my loan has been approved.
They will provide me with the $520 I was missing. You cannot imagine how much this means to me!
Now I have the opportunity to come to you, and my heart is filled with happiness just thinking about it.
Tomorrow, I will receive the money, and I will be able to pay for my visa.
That means our meeting is now one step closer. I have been waiting for this opportunity for so long,
and I am so happy that I will finally be able to come to you.
But I want to ask you something, and I sincerely ask you to answer me honestly.
Are you happy about this? Please tell me the truth. Do you still want to meet me?
You haven't changed your mind, have you?
It is very important for me to know this,
because I want to travel knowing that I am truly expected and that you are still looking forward to seeing me.
And please, tell me once again the name of the nearest airport to you.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
I need to be absolutely sure that I book the right ticket and arrive at the correct airport.
I really hope that very soon I will be able to tell you: “I have arrived.”
With warmth and great hope,
Nazgul.
Hi Nazgul,
Thank you for your email — I’ve been reading it several times now, and honestly, it made my heart flutter. I can’t even tell you how much I admire your courage and the way you’ve been holding on to hope like it’s a real, living thing. That’s something I don’t often see, and it’s deeply touching.
I live in Houston, Texas, so the nearest airport to me is actually Houston Intercontinental (IAH). I’ve been there so many times over the years — I used to work on oil litigation cases, and I’d fly out to Houston for depositions, sometimes even drive up to the Gulf Coast for field visits. I remember one time we had to go to a well site near Sabine Pass, and it rained all day, and the roads were slick — I still have photos from that trip. But that’s not what I’m thinking about right now.
To answer your question: yes, I am absolutely happy about this. I’ve never felt so hopeful in a long time. And yes, I still want to meet you — more than ever. I’ve been thinking about how it would feel to see you in person, to talk, to just be present. That’s the kind of connection I’ve always wanted.
So, to confirm: is the visa application process still expected to go through the U.S. Embassy in Almaty? And do you have any idea when the bank will send the funds — so I can plan my travel schedule accordingly? Also, is there a specific date or time window you’re thinking of for the meeting? I’d love to be ready.
Warmly,
Danny
