Hey, I just saw this email and wow, that’s so wild! I didn’t even know I had an inheritance check from UBA UK—sounds like something out of a movie! 😂 I mean, I’ve got a lot of stuff going on with politics and all, but honestly, I’ve never heard of a barrister named Charles Williams claiming anything for me.
So, I just checked my bank account, and I don’t see anything like that. I’m pretty sure I’ve never cashed a check for £500,000, and I don’t even know what that means—like, did they send it in the mail? Or did they just put it in a box and leave it on my porch? 🤔
Anyway, I think I’ll need to talk to someone about this. I just got back from a town hall meeting in Houston, and I’m still trying to figure out how to handle all the strange emails I keep getting.
I’ve already called the customer service number they gave—+447990040848—and the person on the phone said they can’t help with inheritance checks unless you have a government ID or something. I told them I’m from Texas and I don’t even have a UK address, so I’m pretty sure I’m not the one who got the check.
I’ll send them a follow-up with a photo of my driver’s license and my Texas ID just to be safe. Maybe they’ll verify it.
Anyway, I just wanted to say—this email felt like it was trying to sell me something, but I don’t even know what. I’m just going to keep being honest with myself and say I didn’t get that check.
Let me know if you need anything else from me—though I’m pretty sure I’ve already done what they asked, just not in the way they expected. 😅
P.S. I don’t have a UK address. I live in Austin. That’s all I can say.
Best regards,
Danny Smith
