Hi Brian, Thanks so much for the email — I actually just got off the phone with my cousin Jim Chilong earlier today. He’s been trying to reach me since last week, and I did confirm through a call that he’s my cousin from Sacramento, and yes, he’s been acting on my behalf with a power of attorney I signed back in 2018 when we were both dealing with family trust issues. I remember the Fitch Way address — it’s been a long time, but I’ve kept that paperwork safe in my old filing cabinet. I’m a little worried about the bank timing though — I’m not exactly in the office every day, and I’m on the second floor of my apartment building in Houston, which is just a 20-minute drive from the airport. I’ve been having trouble with my internet connection lately, and I keep getting pop-ups about the bank’s verification system — is that normal? Also, does the power of attorney need to be notarized for this to be processed? Lastly, I’d love to know — is there a specific form or letter I need to send back to you? I’ve been meaning to organize my old documents and maybe even set up a secure folder for all of this. I just don’t want to miss anything, especially since I’m in my 40s and still trying to keep track of my family legacies. Looking forward to your guidance.
