Dear Igor,
Thank you for your email — I’ve been meaning to reply to you after finally getting a moment to organize my thoughts. I appreciate your promptness and the care you’ve taken to mention the security aspect of using this email. Honestly, it’s quite reassuring to know that someone in the oil-and-gas world is actually thinking about privacy and due diligence, which is rare these days.
I’ve been working on a few cases this week involving offshore drilling rights in the Gulf, and honestly, it’s been a whirlwind. I’ve even had to double-check the zoning laws on a property near Beaumont — the kind of detail that keeps you up at night. Anyway, I’m excited about the opportunity to work with you on this power of attorney.
To confirm, you’re suggesting I send my full legal name, address, phone number, and a copy of my passport — correct? Also, could you clarify what kind of power of attorney you’re referring to? Is it for a specific appointment with an Amsterdam official, or more broadly for handling legal documentation? And just to be safe, do you have any guidance on how long it might take for the process to be completed after I submit those documents?
Looking forward to hearing from you. I’d be happy to coordinate a call if needed — I’m actually in Houston and have a few days off this week.
Warm regards,
Danny Smith

Dear friend,
I would be writing you this email for the very last time. I have no
business with your contract and cross borders oil and gas discussion . I
am Not interested in all of that. I want you to read the below one after
the other to understand everything concerning this transaction and if you
do not understand or continue asking nonsense repeated questions, I would
just stop talking to you and cancel the power of attorney.
1, The power of attorney is ready, the attachment is the power of attorney,
I just want you to see it. I will not send you the deposit certificate and
the Amsterdam contact details that you will contact yet, until I am
satisfied with your response. Because I will not continue wasting my time
repeating the same thing again. You have to concentrate and carefully read
this email.
2, I made the deposits of these funds in 2018 for safe keeping purposes.
Since we have a problem with the American and UK governments. I have to
change the funds ownership legally and transfer the funds in your name from
Amsterdam to your American account as investment funds. My name will not
show in any of the documents, because the funds will be legally changed in
your name and it will be transferred as your name as investment funds to
your country account as investment funds. That is simple to understand. In
the power of attorney, they will not state the amount there , for security
reasons. You should go through the power of attorney and the deposit
certificate. You will understand more.
3, When you are doing your contract business , did you not submit your
personal details? Why is it difficult for you to provide your personal
details? You can not expect me to trust you with funds of $355 millions
dollars without me having your information.
4, This is not a transaction that is very difficult. This is just for you
to go to Amsterdam and have a meeting with the official and give them the
cash of 9,466 euro dury the meeting for the legal change of funds to your
name and transfer the funds in your name to your America account as
investment funds and all the original legal documents would be given to
you, because your America bank may ask of the source of funds.
5, You do not need a visa to go to Amsterdam to get this done. It is
something you can just decide and tell them you want to go for vacation and
get your ticket. This process of the funds would not take you more than 24
hours in Amsterdam and after everything you come back to America, because
this transaction needs urgent attention. If I am satisfied with your
response, I will send you the Amsterdam contact details and you will
contact them with the power of attorney, deposit certificate, your passport
copy and your information. The Amsterdam official will also like to discuss
with you on phone and emails to give you an appointment date.
6, Your passport has even expired, I do not see how you would be able to
make the trip to Amsterdam next week.

Dear Igor,
Thank you for sending over the power of attorney — I’ve reviewed it carefully and can see it’s quite detailed, which makes sense given the complexity of cross-border legal transfers. I actually just had a conversation with my wife yesterday about traveling, and I realized I haven’t updated my passport in years — I’m still on the old one from 2010. I think that’s a problem, but I’ll go ahead and get a new one processed right away. I’ll have it in hand within a week or so, and once I have it, I’ll be ready to proceed.
I do have a few questions to clarify:
1) Could you confirm whether the “deposit certificate” you mentioned is issued by a specific bank or financial institution in Amsterdam? I want to make sure I understand where the funds are originally held.
2) When you say the funds are transferred to my American account as “investment funds,” does that mean the original $355 million is being moved, or is it a different amount?
3) Is there any specific form or document I need to complete before the meeting in Amsterdam? I want to be fully prepared, especially since this is such a significant transaction.
I truly appreciate your patience and time — I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I’m genuinely excited about the possibility. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I have the new passport and can start the next steps.

Stop all this question, check the power of attorney and the deposit
certificate yourself and clarify it yourself. Because your question does
not make sense. If you are ready, get your new passport first before i
proceed. How can you think you can travel with expired passport? so your
question does not make sense.

Dear Igor,
Thank you for sharing the power of attorney and for being so clear about the process. I’ve read it carefully, and I must say—I’m genuinely excited about this opportunity. It’s unusual, yes, but I’ve spent a lot of time in the oil and gas litigation field, and I’ve always been curious about cross-border fund structuring and legal ownership changes. Honestly, that’s something I’ve never seen in practice, but I can see how it might work with the right documentation.
I’ve just checked my passport—yes, it did expire last year. I didn’t realize that until now. I’ve been working on a new one for a while now, and I’m actually in the process of scheduling an appointment with the consulate next week. I’ll get it issued by Thursday at the latest, so I can make the trip to Amsterdam without any issues.
Before I go further, could you please confirm the exact name of the Amsterdam office or agency you’re referring to? Also, is the power of attorney valid for both the fund transfer and the meeting with the official? And just to be clear—once the meeting is over, will the original documents (like the deposit certificate) be returned to me, or will they be kept on file?
I’m really looking forward to moving forward with this. I’ve been thinking about taking a trip to Europe lately—maybe a quiet vacation to Amsterdam, and now it feels like a chance to do something meaningful.

Danny Smith

Dear Igor,
I’ve read your email carefully, and I appreciate you sharing the details—thank you for that. I did a quick review of the power of attorney, and it looks quite formal and structured, which makes sense for a legal transfer. Honestly, I’ve been working on a few oil and gas cases lately, and I’ve found that documentation like this is often key when dealing with cross-border fund movements. It’s reassuring to see such clear steps laid out.
I just have a few questions to make sure I’m fully aligned with the process:
1) Could you confirm the exact name of the Amsterdam contact person or office you’re referring to? I’d like to ensure I’m reaching the right party during the meeting.
2) You mentioned the funds are currently held in safekeeping since 2018—could you clarify if there’s any documentation or record of the original deposit? I’m assuming this is for verification purposes, and I’d want to make sure I’m not missing anything in the records.
3) Regarding the passport—yes, I realize it has expired. I’ve already started the process to renew it and will have a new one ready within the next week or so. I’m committed to making this work smoothly.
I’m genuinely excited about the possibility of this transaction and would love to move forward with the next steps. I’ve been thinking about how much I’d enjoy exploring new investment opportunities, especially ones that involve international legal structures. I’ve actually been reading up on European financial regulations lately, and this seems like a very structured path.
Looking forward to your response.

Hi Igor,
I’m sorry I didn’t respond sooner—I’ve been in the middle of a work trip to the Gulf Coast, dealing with a few oil litigation filings, and my phone has been a bit out of reach. I did read the power of attorney you mentioned, and I appreciate you sending it over. I’m actually quite serious about this—I’ve been thinking about diversifying my investments, especially in energy-related ventures, and this seems like a real opportunity.
That said, I’m still a little confused about the timeline. For example, how exactly do I verify the deposit certificate? Is there a specific form or portal I need to use? And when you say “get your new passport,” do you mean I need to physically renew it, or is there a digital version that can be used for this?
Also, I’ve been meaning to start a little side project—maybe a podcast about energy law and the future of oil in Texas—could this opportunity be something I could share with a small group of investors or friends? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks again for your patience. I’m genuinely interested and want to move forward responsibly.
Best,
Danny
