I’ve been thinking about your message, and I do want to be honest and clear: I’ve never heard of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operating in the way you described, especially with regard to arrests or direct contact with individuals like me. I’m not in any way a victim of scam, and I don’t recall any prior incidents involving “scammers” contacting me directly.
I’ve been working on a few oil and gas litigation cases lately — just finished a big one in the Gulf Coast region. It’s been a busy season, and I’ve actually been trying to find new clients who are open to discussing real, legal issues. I’m not one for wild claims or government agencies reaching out with dramatic stories. That said, I do value transparency and honesty.
If there’s something specific you’d like to share — like details about the arrest or the scam — I’d love to hear it. I’m not saying I don’t believe you, but I’d like to understand what exactly happened so I can respond appropriately.
