I don’t know if that’s just the heat or something deeper—Houston is *so* hot right now, and I swear it feels like the air itself is trying to whisper secrets! The owner said their dog went missing during a thunderstorm, and now they’ve found a *very* similar-looking golden retriever in a neighbor’s backyard! I don’t know if it’s the same dog or just a very convincing look-alike, but I *had* to check it out. I even asked the neighbor if they’d seen a man with a yellow hat and a mustache—turns out, he was just a retired teacher who used to run a lemonade stand at the fair! But seriously, Jess—about meeting! I’d *love* to meet you, but only if we can do it in a place where the WiFi is strong and no one can read our texts! I’ve been trying to find a quiet spot near the Houston Riverwalk, where the birds sing and the breeze smells like jasmine (even though it’s winter!). Do you think that would work?
