Hi! 😊
Thank you for writing back.
Honestly, I couldn't help smiling when I saw your email. I think before two people get to know each other, there's always that little thought in the back of your mind: "I wonder if they'll reply." So it was really nice to hear from you.
My name is Alisa, I'm 33 years old. I'm originally from Ukraine, and now I live in Ankara.
I work at a hotel. Sometimes it feels like I meet so many different people in a single day that by the evening my head is spinning a little. 😄
But you know what's funny? It's never the important conversations that stay with me. It's the little things. Someone makes me laugh, someone forgets their room key again, or someone thanks me so sincerely that it puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day.
Oh... I just realized I've started talking about work again. 😊
I guess that's becoming a professional habit.
Let me tell you something else instead.
There's a ginger cat that lives near our hotel. He looks so important, as if he owns the place. 😄
Whenever he's sitting by the entrance, I almost always stop to say hello.
I think he already considers me part of the staff.
Although... if I'm honest, I sometimes suspect he's only checking whether I've brought him something tasty again. 😂
After work I often choose to walk home, even though I could get there much faster another way.
To be fair, about ten minutes later I sometimes catch myself thinking, "Why did I decide to walk again?" 😄
But after that, everything somehow feels calmer. Those walks help me unwind after a busy day.
I've attached a few photos of myself. 😊
Maybe they'll make it a little easier to picture the person on the other side of these emails.
I'd really like to keep getting to know you.
For some reason, I have a feeling this could turn into something genuinely interesting. 😊
Take care.
Alisa ❤️

Hi Danny,
Thanks so much for your message — I’m actually smiling just thinking about how you wrote “darling” back. That little thing about the email getting lost? Honestly, I didn’t even realize it until I checked my inbox this morning. I’ve been meaning to send it again anyway, since I wanted to make sure you got a full picture of me.
I just moved into a new apartment in Ankara last month, and it’s actually quite small — like, tiny. I think it’s more comfortable than my old one, though. The walls are painted a soft blue, and there’s a little garden behind it where I sometimes sit with my ginger cat, who now seems to have a tiny office (a corner by the window) and insists on working during the day. He even has a tiny notepad. I don’t know how he gets the ink — I think he’s just been practicing.
Anyway, I was wondering — are you okay with sharing a little about yourself? I know you said you’re a lawyer, and that’s something I’ve always admired. I’ve heard a lot about oil and gas litigation — it sounds intense. Do you ever find yourself in courtrooms where the energy is just… thick? Like, the air is heavy with tension?
Also — if you’re up for it — would you be open to a quick call sometime this week? I’d love to just talk about the cat, or how I still forget my keys, or how I sometimes end up walking home just to feel like I’m still alive.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
Alisa 💫
